1. Max von Sydow

Max von Sydow, one of the best actors of his generation, died on March 8, in an email statement according to his wife Catherine. He was (90) ninety years old.

Von Sydow, who fought Grim Reaper in a chess game in the Seventh Seal, was a veteran of over 100 film and television roles. A Swedish actor Von Sydow was known by film fans of all ages. In his later years, he appeared as a three-eyed raven in Game of Thrones and Lor San Tekka in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Withers’ nearly 20-year career as an album producer, Withers has won three Grammy Awards and four more times has he been nominated. His life was the subject of the documentary Still Bill from 2009 and in 2015, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame that included songs like “Ain’t No Sunshine” (1971), “Grandma’s Hands” (1971), “Use Me” (1972), “Lie to Me” (1972) , “Beautiful Day” (1977) and “Just the” Two of Us “(1980).

As a veteran and marine mechanic, Withers’ taught himself how to play the guitar, but his voice was given by God. He is responsible for some of the most popular and covered songs in music history.

3. James Lipton

According to Hollywood Reporter, the academic and respected presenter of Inside the Actors Studio, James Lipton died on March 2 from bladder cancer in his house in Manhattan, according to his wife Kedakai Mercedes Lipton. He was 93 years old.

“He lived like every day was his last,” Kedakai Lipton told THR. “His job was his passion, he loved what he did and everyone he worked with. He made people do their best and I hope that his spirit, curiosity and passion will live on.”
